To help maintain the high quality and clarity of Skelmet lenses, your new eyewear comes with a microfiber bag and lens cloth for cleaning and storage. Using it will preserve the superior optical quality of Skelmet lenses. Hand wash and air-dry the microfiber bag regularly.
Lenses may be removed or inserted only in specified models and pursuant to specific instructions. Failure to comply will affect the optical performance and the lenses may not remain in place, causing interferences with vision.
For the Skelmet F1 series, to remove the lenses, push them outwards until they pop out.To insert, push the lens edge into the bevel one corner at a time until the entire lens is fully snapped in.
Shipping & delivery
Skelmet offers two processing options: 15-20 Day Standard Processing, and 7-10 Day Premium Processing. This includes 3D product model generation, industrial 3D printing, surface polishing, assembly, and shipping.
Please note that shipments can occasionally be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. All shipments are sent fully insured. Currently, we can only ship to addresses within the 50 United States. We cannot ship to Post Office Boxes, or Internationally. Every order is custom designed, 3D printed and hand-built to your specifications. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email specifying what carrier was used along with the corresponding tracking number.

Skelmet stands behind all its products. We create custom fit products to help you perform better, play better and feel better. If you are not completely satisfied with the fit of your products, we will repeat the customization process until you are happy.
Skelmet does not warrant against any lens scratches. Alteration, misuse, abuse, or installation of non-Skelmet lenses will void this warranty.
• Please note that you might have gotten accustomed to off-the-shelf products, and are comfortable with the tightness/looseness around the temples or where the nose pieces sit. It might take some getting used to for custom fitted products as they might not feel as tight/loose as other products you’ve had. We encourage you to give them a chance, wear them for a couple of weeks to get used to how they sit on your face. You’ll grow to love how comfortable they are, we promise.
We’re sorry your frame doesn’t fit as promised. Please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with the Order Number and your modification requests. Our customer care team and product engineers will carefully review your 3D model and product parameters to 3D print a new pair for you. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to respond to your refit requests.
Once we identify the problems, we will send a return label to your email address. Attach the shipping label to the box and cover up any previous delivery addresses or barcodes on the box. Drop your labeled return shipment at any USPS Store or USPS drop-off location.
Unfortunately, because the products are custom-made for you and hence cannot be resold to anyone else, we do not offer refunds on the products.
HOW DO I GET SCANNED?
3D scanning is super easy and fun. Our scan app works on iPhone X or later models including iPhone XR and iPhone XS.
Simply download the Skelmet APPfrom the iOS App Store, create an account with your name, email, and phone number. Follow the instructions of the app, make sure your hair is nicely tied up and tugged behind your ears. Turn your head to the left, right, up, then down. The entire process takes roughly 10 seconds, you may re-scan as many times as you’d like. Once you are satisfied with your 3D face scan, upload it to your account, and voila, you’d be all set!
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE AN IPHONE X?
Unfortunately, the 3D scanning app only works on iPhone X or later models as it requires the Apple True-Depth Camera. We suggest you borrow a friend or family’s phone if anyone around you has access to one. The entire scanning process only takes a few minutes and perhaps your friend would be stoked about the technology too!
CAN I ORDER CUSTOM SUNGLASSES WITHOUT GETTING 3D SCANNED?
Yes. you can place an order without getting scanned, but the order would not be processed until we receive your 3D scan.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY SCAN IS GOOD?
The scans should look very accurate to your face, if there’s hair in the way or if you’ve forgotten to take off your glasses, you can re-scan as many times as you need to. Our engineers also manually check all 3D scans before processing the order. If we find that your scan could be better, we will reach out to you to let you know how to improve the scan results.
DO CUSTOM FIT FRAMES ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
YES absolutely! There are only about 25% of the population that can find eyewear that fits well, the rest of us just have to get used to the discomfort. The pinching, the sliding, the fogging, all of that should not happen! It’s an entirely different experience when you put on a pair of glasses that are actually made to fit you. You’ll wonder how you’ve managed to live with the ill-fitting frames all your life.

Unfortunately, because the products are custom-made for you and hence cannot be resold to anyone else, we do not offer refunds on the products. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Skelmet lenses have anti-scratch, anti-smudge, anti-reflective, and hydrophobic coatings. Please use only mild soap and water to clean your product. Dry, after rinsing, by gently blotting with the microfiber cloth provided.
CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR ORDER
We begin the production process as soon as you place your order, but you might have up to 3 days before your frames reach the 3D printing system. You may cancel or make changes to the order before your order gets 3D printed. You can track your order process under your order details.
WHAT PRODUCTS CAN I PURCHASE THROUGH MY INSURANCE?
Most plans cover prescription eyeglasses and/or prescription sunglasses as well as an annual exam. Non-prescription sunglasses, however, cannot be purchased as part of an insurance claim. Contact your insurance carrier to confirm the exact details of your plan.
